What is the Load Rating Tool?

The Load Rating Tool (LRT) supports expedited Load Factor Rating (LFR) and Load & Resistance Factor Rating (LRFR) of the following superstructures using data from precomputed data analysis:

Superstructures supported for LFR analysis

• Girder system superstructure

• Girder line superstructure

• Floor system superstructure (without floor truss and longitudinal truss)

• Floor line superstructure (without floor truss and longitudinal truss)

• Concrete multi-cell box superstructure

• Culvert

Superstructures supported for LRFR analysis

• Girder system superstructure

• Girder line superstructure

• RC Slab system

• Concrete multi-cell box superstructure

Limitations:

1. The Load Rating Tool supports only line girder analysis.

2. The Load Rating Tool does not support floor system line with truss.

3. The Load Rating Tool only considers trucks with fixed axle spacing for both LFR and LRFR analysis.

4. Analysis template cannot be saved for vehicle configuration.

5. The Load Rating Tool allows rating vehicles only in Inventory and Operating for LFR analysis.

6. The Load Rating Tool allows rating vehicles only in Permit load rating for LRFR analysis.
