Running the ‘Diaphragm Properties Integrity Scanner‘ Application

BrDR version 6.8.4 and earlier incorrectly stored concrete effective support records. The Concrete Effective Supports Integrity Scanner will remove the duplicate records from the database.

When a 6.8.4 and earlier file that contains duplicate effective support records is imported into BrDR version 7.0 or later, a message similar to the one below is displayed:

Users are encouraged to run the Concrete Effective Supports Integrity Scanner to repair the bridge file even if you do not intend to modify information on the Effective Supports selection window.

The ‘Concrete Effective Supports Integrity Scan’ application is not installed with BrR. It is a separate application that can be found in the BrR/BrDR installation folder.

See the screen capture below for v7.4 of BrDR:

When the application is run, the typical login screen is displayed to access the database:

The main window of the application will then be displayed:

The application can be run on individual BIDs that are manually added or the ‘Scan’ button can be selected and the application will identify all files within the database that contain effective support information.

Once the bridge files to be processed have been added to the ‘Bridge Selection’ area, click the ‘Process’ button, and then click on ‘Yes’ to continue:

A ‘Scan Progress…’ window will be displayed.

Click on ‘Close’ once all files have been processed.

The application will fix and re-save the files that had duplicate concrete effective support properties.
