6.7 Service Pack 1 (6.7.1) applies to the following products:

  • AASHTOWare Bridge Design, version 6.7.0

  • AASHTOWare Bridge Rating, version 6.7.0

  • AASHTOWare Bridge Design and Rating, version 6.7.0

 

Note: Version 6.7.1 contains the resolutions for the 6.7.0 Maintenance Release 1 found in TN0035. Please refer to Technical Note TN0035 for a list of these issues.

 

Instructions for applying Service Pack 1:

  1. If you are not already using 6.7.0, migrate your software and databases to version 6.7.0 by installing from the 6.7.0 installation media and running the 6.7.0 database migration wizard.

  2. Download the appropriate self-extracting exe Service Pack file for your system. Extract the contents of the file into a temporary folder on your computer.

  3. Run the extracted Setup.exe program to apply the program changes.

  4. Run the installed 6.7.1 database migration wizard to migrate your databases to version 6.7.1.

 

AASHTOWare Bridge® Design and Rating Version 6.7.1 - New Features

The following enhancements and additions have been added to AASHTOWare Bridge® Design and Rating in Version 6.7.1:

  • Control options to generate points of interest at supports and critical shear locations for concrete beams

  • Ability to specify effective support locations for concrete beams

  • Ability to specify longitudinal construction joint in the web of reinforced concrete tee beams

  • Ability to disable LRFD/LRFR concrete article detailed specification output

  • Ability to specify the ranges of applicability for using the LRFD Specification distribution factor equations

  • Schematic for multi-cell box web profile

 

 

AASHTOWare Bridge® Design and Rating Version 6.7.1 - Resolved Incidents

The following Support Center incidents in the AASHTOWare Bridge® Design and Rating Technical Support website are also addressed in this release:

  1. BRDRSUP-640 - Post-tensioned multi-cell box hinge modeling issue.

  2. BRDRSUP-651 - The stringer's "Uniform Load Contraflexure Points" dead load case should not be applied to the floor beam.

  3. BRDRSUP-751 - For angles in truss built-up and angle box sections, the Horizontal command is not being processed during specification checking of the truss members.

  4. BRDRSUP-753 - When performing load factor rating for a truss with counters that carries one lane of traffic, the truck load operating rating factors for the tension members are computed incorrectly as 99.

  5. BRDRSUP-759 - Incomplete implementation of 2015 AASHTO Specification updates in the 6.7 release. Agenda Item #4 - MBE 6A.5.8: Use average stirrup spacing over shear failure plane. Agenda Item #6 - MBE Section 7: Changes to fatigue equations (7.2.5 and 7.2.6). Agenda Item #33 - LRFD 5.11: Changes to rebar development length. Agenda Item #34 and #35 - LRFD Section 5: Extend the applicability to concrete strength up to 15 ksi and changes to equations in 5.4, 5.7 and 5.9.

  6. BRDRSUP-856 - Rebar in MCB projections failed LRFR rating.

  7. BRDRSUP-869 - Incorrect Mu established for reinforced concrete multi-cell box bridges.
