Legacy System End of Life
BrDR Version 6.8.4 Sunset Date: June 30, 2021
Version 6.8.4 is the last release of the legacy system and maintenance, specification updates, and support will cease effective June 30, 2021. Only critical bug fixes will be incorporated into version 6.8.4 going forward. The AASHTOWare Bridge Task Force and development team strongly encourage users to start planning for the modernization upgrade as early as possible.
Program Limitations
If you are using the Academic version of AASHTOWare Bridge® Design or AASHTOWare Bridge® Rating, be aware that you may only create bridges with the following limitations:

Special Note on Hardware Requirements
The Hardware Requirements listed in the AASHTOWare Bridge® Startup Guide Step 5 and AASHTOWare Catalog are the requirements for typical bridge model. These requirements are highly dependent on the size of the model, the type of the bridge and the complexity of the analysis. If you have additional questions on the hardware requirements or encounter memory or performance issues, please contact AASHTOWare Bridge® Design and Rating Technical Support at BrDR@mbakerintl.com.
Version Conversion and Bridge XML files that reference 3rd-party engines
If your organization uses analysis engines other than AASHTO, Virtis, BRASS and Madero engines, the conversion of Bridge XML files from version 6.2 or older to version 6.3 and later may fail if those 3rd-party engines are referenced in the bridge description. Please see the file "Version Conversion 3rd party engines.pdf" on the AASHTOWare Bridge® Design and Rating installation media inside the VersionConversion folder for further instructions.
